Raspberry Swirl Cake 

It was a rainy morning yesterday so Eva and I decided to pass the time by baking a cake.  We chose the Raspberry Swirl Cake as it looked delicious in the pictures in the recipe book.   

 
The recipe was a basic sponge cake which was straightforward to make.  The topping contained meringues which the recipe said could be shop bought but I decided to make them too!!

  
The cake turned out really well and it tastes delicious (if I do say so myself!!😝).  Eva enjoyed the baking and of course, licking the bowl!  Definitely worth a shot.  The recipe came from an Usborne book called The very best baking book for children – a fantastic purchase if you like baking with your little ones!
